Welcome remarks by Mr. Leonidas Dimitriadis-Evgenidis
The 10th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum, the flagship event of the Arab-Greek Chamber, took place on December 7 & 8 at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens in hybrid form, with physical and online presence, and with the participation of businessmen from Greece and 16 Arab countries.
This year’s Forum program was enriched with the 3rd Annual “Meet the Arab Ambassadors” Roundtable Discussion, a platform for dialogue between Arab Ambassadors and Greek CEOs and business leaders on business and investment issues of the Arab world. Mr. Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador representing Greece participated in the discussion.
Mr. Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, highlighted the importance of the role of the IMO, the long-standing excellent relations between Greece and the Arab countries in the field of shipping, the necessity of lifelong learning, and the importance of distance learning during the Covid 19 pandemic for the students of the Merchant Marine Academies and the professionals of the shipping community.
