The Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport of the University of the Aegean organized and hosted the 2nd Chios International Shipping Summit in Chios and Oinousses on June 20–21, 2025, under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping.
Τhe 9th Shipping Conference of Naftemporiki entitled “Shipping in Disruption” took place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni. The conference successfully addressed critical issues facing the shipping industry, providing valuable insights and fostering a collaborative environment for stakeholders.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the Postgraduate Program of the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus, a commemorative event titled “Shaping Tomorrow: Greek Shipping” was held on May 26, 2025, at the Eugenides Foundation Auditorium.
The 23rd Mare Forum Greece took place on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens. The conference focused on key issues and challenges facing the global maritime community.
Another “I choose Shipping” event organized by Isalos.net took place on 29 March 2025 at the passenger ship “Anemos” of Aegean Sea Lines, at the port of Piraeus.
The conference “Transporting Humanity’s essential commodities: Safeguards for a Secure and Sustainable Maritime Industry” was organized by Isalos.net in collaboration with the British Embassy at the Eugenides Foundation.
On Monday, February 10, 2025 the IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador in Greece and President of the Eugenides Foundation together with the Director of Naftika Chronika magazine, welcomed members of the shipping community to the official opening of the exhibition “The Greek Bulk Carriers”, organized by Isalos.net and hosted at the Eugenides Foundation.
On January 22, 2025, the 8th Slide2Open Shipping Finance 2025 took place at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall.
This leading event, themed “Shipping Concepts in Concert” this year, successfully combined panel discussions, keynote speeches, and musical performances.
The Passenger Shipping Companies Association (SEEN) under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping Affairs & Insular Policy, the Ministry of National Economy & Finance and the Ministry of Environment & Energy, organized a conference entitled “Modern Coastal Shipping – Sustainable Development of the Islands” on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Eugenides Foundation Amphitheater.
As part of the dialogue at sea initiative with prominent maritime personalities, Isalos.net brings young Greek seafarers closer to the maritime industry. Mr. Leonidas Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, President of the Eugenides Foundation and IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador in Greece, was invited to participate in the initiative entitled “Blue Chairs: Shipping in Dialogue with Society.”
