The IMO Ambassador at the Naftemporiki Shipping Conference
Mr. Leonidas Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, IMO Ambassador in Greece attended the 4th Naftemporiki Shipping Conference entitled “Greek and European Shipping: Setting sail for the future”, on October 3rd at the Athens Concert Hall.
Mr. Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, was the main speaker of the 4th session concerning European shipping and international competition, as part of the celebrations for the World Maritime Day and the 70 years anniversary since the Convention established the Organization.
He mentioned the issue of seamanship and the adequate knowledge and training of competent seafarers for the Greek, European and global shipping industry, emphasizing on tradition and modern technologies which contribute to the creation of a safe, environmentally clean and efficient shipping industry.
